Thanks to Philosophy Guy for the intro this week.
I’ve officially found my new favourite city. Just the other day, I returned from a week-long vacation / business trip in beautiful San Antonio, Texas. Amazing weather, morbidly obese mall walkers, and 24/7 flowing drinks made this one of the best weeks I’ve ever had.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without my more-than-gracious hosts, Jennifer and Jackie from the Morning Brewcast. Thanks again to the San Antonio Podcasters for welcoming me with open arms!
But, I’m getting ahead of myself.
Listen to this episode of All Axis Radio to hear about my airline paranoia - yes, your boy Ajay’s got a little anxiety when it comes to barreling through the sky in a flying, explosive death trap.
Maybe one day, I’ll tell you why I’m horribly afraid of — yet oddly intrigued with — the story of La Llorona, and why I wanna go to Woman Hollering Creek next time I’m in town. I dismantle The Alamo with my logic-based theories, and verify the rumours. Yes - Texans love their sports teams.
Until next time, kids!

A humorous and enjoyable show. Glad I wasn’t eating or drinking anything while I was listening. As it was I got the, “What are you listening to?” looks because of all the giggling. Ah, but you already knew that about me.
You know what they say about folks who come to Texas? They always come back. Hence the saying, “I wasn’t born here, but I got here as soon as I could.”
Thanks for the visit and the laughs!
Jennifer took her computer into the shower? >.< Think I missed that conversation…
So have you mastered “Texan” yet so you can come and not sound “far-in?”
Yeah, HRBabe, I may have misinterpreted that one a bit. I heard what I heard, and that’s all I know.
Texan takes a while to master, but I just watched No Country for Old Men last night, so I think I’m well on my way!
I guess that’s how Jennifer’s computer bit the big one.
YE-HAW! *6 gun solute*
Actually, I should say… Where’s ju get the ideas that we talk hillbilly? If anything, we can’t even speak english. That’s because Spanish is our first language. Oh, sí.
San Antonio really encapsulates a lot of different nationalities, but most of them are Mexican. Because majority rules, they would never let on to that fact, instead they continue to push mostly their culture.
Yes, it’s great to be a San Antonian, especially when you like to push back. >:^)
